Notes | IMPORTANT: This is a NAND-type Flash EPROM with a minimum of 4016 blocks. Each block contains 32 pageswhich are divided into a 512 byte main page and a 16 byte control area. This algorithm ismapped with each page considered an contiguous 528 byte page.Bad Blocks are indicated at byte 517 of each page in the block. WARNING!!! If these bytesare programmed other than 0xFFh the block will be considered a bad block on any subsequent operations.This will cause these blocks to be skipped and will fail operations such as Compare and Verify.This algorithm uses a simple Bad Block Replacement scheme. This method skips bad blockswhile replacing them with the next valid block and extends ending location on the device. |
