Notes | IMPORTANT: Microcontroller with Flash Program Memory. The Write/Read Lock Byte at FLASH address 3FFFhcan be set through Device Configure menu and programmed with Secure command. The Lock Byte number is stored in FLASH address 3FFFh in ones complement" form that is a number whose '0' bits have been replaced with '1's and whose '1' bits have been replacedwith '0's. The FLASH pages are locked starting with page 0 whichcontains FLASH addresses [0000h to 01FFh] and are locked consecutivelyfrom there. Thus it is not possible to lock the second page of FLASHwithout also locking the first page of FLASH.If any FLASH pages are locked then the FLASH page containing the LockByte is also locked. For example:To lock the first 3 pages of FLASH addresses [0000h to 05FFh]the one complement of '00000011b' is '11111100b' or FCh.thus write FCh to the Lock Byte address. This would alsoautomatically protect the page containing the Lock Byte addresses [3E00h to 3FFEh].The only way to remove the protection is executing a Chip Erase operation. " |
